Circular Quay at 3am

Circular Quay down by the rocks, with the international passenger port to the right of the Sydney Opera House

View of Circular Quay from the Cahill Expressway, you can just see the ferries in the bottom right of the frame

Sydney is such a busy place, but thankfully it does sleep. Fortunately the roads are clear for me after work which means I feel like I have the place to myself! Normally crowded places are clear and calm so I can take my time. Sydney Harbour can be a beautiful place by day, but I think it is equally, if not more so at night. Circular Quay is especially photogenic with the iconic opera house and bridge, and the historical Rocks area. Highly recommended at any time of day!

Allan in Canberra

Since moving to Canberra from Batemans Bay I have struggled to find the time to take photographs. Very recently though, I have managed to get in the car and drive or jump on the bike and ride to a few spots I have been anxious to shoot. I have travelled to the lakes and to the summit of a few hills in the last little bit.
There are many, many more places I am keen to exploit and when I go out to hopefully do just that I am forever finding new places.
Canberra scenery is very different from the beach scences of which I am used to. However, the landscape and the ranges hold a unique beauty of their own. The more I explore, the more I realise that beauty is found in many places and in many forms.
Stay tuned for some photographic results of my journies.
